- Strong analytical, financial modelling, and valuation skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results under tight deadlines
- Strong knowledge of the business environment in Slovakia and the Czech Republic is preferred
Job description
The Acquisition Manager is responsible for identifying and evaluating acquisition opportunities within Slovakia and the Czech Republic and opportunistic support on M&A projects carried out in other countries in which SPIE CE is present. This role includes conducting comprehensive business and financial analyses, performing due diligence assessments, and preparing high-quality presentations and documentation to support decision-making regarding potential target companies. The position plays a key role in driving the company’s growth strategy through mergers and acquisitions.
Acquisition opportunity identification
- Monitor the market, industry trends, and competitive landscape to identify potential acquisition targets.
- Build and maintain a network of advisors, brokers, and industry contacts to source new opportunities.
- Conduct preliminary screenings to assess strategic fit, financial performance, and potential synergies.
Business and financial analysis
- Analyse financial statements, business models, and operational metrics of potential targets.
- Prepare valuation analyses using methods such as DCF, multiples, comparables, and scenario modelling.
- Assess risks, opportunities, and strategic alignment with company goals.
Due diligence support
- Coordinate internal and external due diligence activities across financial, legal, operational, and HR areas.
- Collect and structure information required to validate assumptions and identify potential deal-breakers.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to management.
Preparation of executive materials
- Create high-quality presentations for internal committees and senior leadership to approve acquisition targets.
- Prepare investment memos, summaries, financial models, and strategic recommendations.
- Present findings to stakeholders as needed.
Project management
- Manage acquisition projects from initial screening through approval.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, Operations, and Management.
- Track timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure smooth project execution.
Relationship and communication management
- Act as a point of contact between the company, external advisors, and target companies.
- Support negotiations and assist in structuring transaction terms.
- Ensure clear communication of project status to senior management.
Post-merger integration
- Ensure enforcement of PMI procedures and SPIE’s requirements on acquired companies
- Coordination of PMI activities.
- Reporting to Integration Committee
